In the wake of the transition to a new monarch in Canada, the uncirculated set Latest coins minted commemorates the end of production of current Canadian circulation coins featuring the traditional designs on the reverse and the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.

Minted in Winnipeg, these 2022 coins are the last coins with traditional designs produced for everyday transactions, as the Royal Canadian Mint has not issued 2023 Canadian circulation coins with traditional reverse designs and of the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. Brought together in this set, these coins represent the final chapter in the story of Queen Elizabeth II's historic reign, forever preserved on Canadian circulation coins.

• The last coins minted. Each set Latest coins minted contains uncirculated coins dated 2022 bearing the image of the late Queen Elizabeth II, the last of their kind : they are among the last Canadian circulation coins to feature traditional designs on the reverse And the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse before the adoption of a new effigy.
• Two pieces of $2 in the same set. The set contains one coin of each of the following denominations: 2 dollars, 1 dollar, 25 cents, 10 cents and 5 cents.
